not up to much June 27, 2010 Ms. A. M. Thompson (worcester, uk) Not worth purchasing. The turntable doesn't revolve properly. Veg turns brown when cooked according to instructions. Milk would heat up quicker on my cooker hob, 50 secs in first micro wave to heat and boil over. 2m 30 secs with this to just get milk hot. Have to put micro wave at very edge of work top to prevent everywhere getting soaked (including plugs/sockets) even though it has far more space around it than specified in manual. Inside of micro wave gets far wetter than previous micro waves (matsui / sharp) Micro wave vibrates and makes a lot of noise. once cooking is complete there is only a dull dot in centre of display making it easy for any one to not realise its not been turned off (My support staff don't realise). I am partialy sighted so it's very easy to find it still on later. My previous 2 microwaves displayed 00.00 and were very bright/bold. Best option, Get a different make.
Okay... March 16, 2010 C. Coombe (Cheltenham .Glos. UK) I bought this microwave on 2.3.2010 and here we are on 16.3.2010 and we need to replace the light bulb...this means a service visit from panasonic..
The microwave is okay but very noisy and on my last panosonic it had a reminder bleep if you left something in the microwave this one doesn't but the bleep is so loud that maybe this is a blessing...wish I had spent a bit more on a better one.
Excellent product February 7, 2010 Mr. Steve Sanders (Bromsgrove England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent product. Does exactly what is described and no complaints at all. The 5 dings on finish are a benefit.
The auto de-frost for bread is great
Nice and compact but unreliable December 12, 2009 Gitfinger 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Nice compact microwave that replaced an old reliable Panasonic, which was still working but was too big and had features, grill etc., that had not been used in over 10 years. Unfortunately this one packed in after 3 weeks when the turntable, fan and light would not stop unless turned off at the mains. So not a very good first impression with this microwave and now having to wait for a replacement is very inconvenient, wish I'd kept the old one now!
Jolly good bit of kit! December 10, 2009 JB (Chudleigh, Devon) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
As described, although the Amazon information doesn't seem to give the external dimensions (they are W 460, H 260, D 330). For the price I'm very happy with the specification; a simple, easy-to-use microwave.
Had some concern about reviews regarding the turntable; it is just a little jittery but it goes round and does the job. An earlier reviewer mentioned contacting Panasonic for a replacement turntable support; I did this and they sent a new one for free ... but it was the same part as that already supplied (never mind - thanks for the effort Panasonic).
There are no vents on top of the microwave, so you can put bits and bobs on top of it without blocking the airflow.
The only thing I'd change is the length of the mains cable; it's rather short (about 600mm).
