Indoor Aerial August 29, 2010 P. R. Cloherty (Midlands, UK) It's never going to be as good as an external aerial, but this is an excellent indoor aerial which does a fine job of picking up Freeview
No signal gained with this August 28, 2010 lizzo I live in the Nottingham area and bought this when I bought a new television. I really think that it depends on the tele you buy more than the indoor aerial- I had a large Bush TV and had a good digi signal with a standard cheap indoor aerial. I replaced it with a small Grundig flat screen and got no signal- the signal with this aerial was actually worse than with the cheap one. So, I ended up returning the tele and paying a bit more for another Bush one. This aerial gave me an awful signal on that tele aswell but when I swapped back to my old cheap aerial I got a near perfect one- obviously I returned this aerial to Amazon for a prompt refund. Different makes of tele must have different boosters in them so I would advise choosing your tele carefully, rather than your aerial.
Amazing results August 27, 2010 Poster Was having problems with new TV in kitchen and picking up Freeview channels on existing indoor aerial.Could get BBC1 but not ITV1 and when I moved existing aerial and retuned got the reverse!!
So, having read reviews on this aerial decided that it was worth buying before reverting to linking it to a Freesat box and existing dish.
No need, this aerial has performed miracles and was the best £13.23 I have ever spent. Highly recommended.
amazing for an inside ariel August 27, 2010 londonlass I can't believe how good the picture is with this ariel. When we realised we didn't have an external ariel in our new home I expected to just have to make do with a fuzzy picture. Once you get this ariel in the right position it gives just as good a picture as with an external ariel.
Hit and miss August 22, 2010 Darrin Cooper (Newcastle, Tyne & Wear United Kingdom) With this aerial having an inbuilt booster you would think that the reception would be preety awesome. Well I suppose it would be but i'm in a low signal area with really thick walls and this is not really the case. If you turn the booster off which is controlled by a small twist button the signal is turned off as if the aerial has been disconnected I dont think this should happen with analogue as well as digital. In addition to this you can pivot the aerial without having to move the base but again this does not always help, the extendable antennas do nothing for the TV signal but I belive are more for use with radio if you want to boost this signal.
To sum up the picture can be a bit shoddy at times but with low signal and thick walls indoor aerials will never be very accurate. I would advise to invest in a roof or loft aerial for the long term with an additional booster if needed for bad signal areas. Would cost a bit more but would be well worth it for freeview as analogue is going to the grave soon.
