excellent quality for close up shots. I found it a little bit fuzzy when using full zoom and trying to film things quite far away. easy to carry . easy to make a movie from your individual shots

I loved this because it was easy to use and took great pictures with a decent sound. However the first one failed on the second occasion I wanted to use it. I returned it (first class service from amazon) and received a replacement. This too failed on the second occasion I tried to use it so I have reluctantly returned it for a refund.

The Flip Video is excellent for your home video. The quality is really good when viewed through the TV and the software for sharing and editing is very user friendly. The only reason this item did not get 5 stars is because the batteries do not last very long. I have a flip battery pack but that doesn't last much longer either. I think being able to use a mains charger would gain the extra star. (I haven't persued this option as yet, and don't know whether or not one is available)

The start up time for this video camera is phenomenal. I wish it had a larger zoom but then camera shake would be a problem. I've got my computer tower on its side (for the old small dvd's I used to use) so plugging it in to the usb port is stress free- it hangs there quite safely. Battery life is also quite outstanding but when the batteries do go they don't give much warning so extra's are handy. I use the software that came with it and don't use anything else now- I used to use Adobe Premiere Elements 7 when I used the small dvd's and it was pants. It wasn't much better for the Flip videos either so I just use the Flip software now and it's basic but ok.

Bought this after reading many reviews & i must say i'm absolutely thrilled with this one!! Although its not the HD version, the picture quality & sound are fantastic, even when watching it back on our huge plasma screen. Have got a young baby & this is perfect for carrying round in your handbag & capturing those special moments. It uses 2 AA batteries which are easily replacable & no messing about having to charge it up. So easy to use & great how it just plugs into a USB port on your PC. Love it, love it, love it!
